Anyone know how to test a coil for a CR125 (74-78) without it being on the bike? Thanks! |

You can check continuity with an ohmmeter. put the ohmmeters -(neg) lead on the metal mount or Green wire of the coil. Then put the +(pos) lead in the plug wire. Using the ohm setting on the meter it should move up a bit. Then put the +(pos) lead to the white/black wire. It should also move. If there is no movement its bad. The green wire should be (+) and the white/blue (-). Hope that helps a little. |
