Hey thanks alot for the reply. Do you have any idea how to fix one. Someone told me that the paw and it's looseness is why these slip. Any cures that you know of----Thanks

Hey guys--Is the 75-76 250 elsinore kick start gear the same as the 73-74. I have tried two on my bike and can't find one to stop slipping. Are there any fixes out there. I purchased the small paws off ebay but was concerned this would not work if the underside gear was worn---Just need some help!!! Thanks in advance |

I'm pretty sure that as long as you swap out the entire assembly you will be fine. The kick spindle and spring retainer changed after engine #1013758. The rest of the parts should be the same though. Good luck! |

The spring clip that holdes the paw in place looses its shape. remove the clip and gently shape it into a smaller circle. then re-install. this is only a quick fix and will work only if the paw and its indents on the gear are in decent shape |
