Hello everyone.
I am in the middle of restoring my '74 mt250. My tank has a few dents in it, but it is in pretty good shape. Can anyone give me some idea on getting the dents out? Is there a way of knocking them out from the inside or pulling them out from the outside or would filling them be ok?
Thanks
Newfie

That tank is steel and an easy way to pull dents out would be to take a welding rod and tack it to the lowest point in the dent. Then take a slide hammer and slip it on the welding rod, then give it a yank and pull it out as best you can. detach the welding rod with heat or cut it off and grind the rest down. Then its bondo for the rest. This method doesn't involve putting a hole through the tank which is a good thing :)
