a mystery machine?

I talked to a very nice lady at Vintage Iron in Ca... and she said that the 1975 cr250 is somewhat of an oddball..... is this the case?

Need:

fenders and side panels
seat foam and cover
ignition side engine cover.
condensor, points and plug
gas tank (allum with red stripe?)

anyone with extra parts to sell?

Someone here said it best: The 73-74 CR was a break through and the 75-76 was more of a me too then the next generation.

I have a 76.

They are good bikes in their own right but there are forces at work beyond just performance. Cut off year for Vintage racing is 1974 so prices for things 1975 or 1976 are a bit lower since they have to run against much newer/evolutionary stuff. The collector thing is important since the most desirable are the first generation 1973-1974 bikes.

It is just a good bike vs. a collector's item.
