I searched and read what I could find...Seriously considering ordering one for my bike. Does this ignition require machining of side cover or flywheel?
Anything else I need to know? Thanks

No machining. Pretty easy install. I installed one on my 73 CR250M and it works great. No more points problems! I don't even think about the ignition anymore, much less worry about it. If you have the $$$ (they ain't cheap) go for it.

I've run one for about four years now and it works great. Highly recommended if you have the bucks.

Well after destroying two pairs of boots and one ankle from kickback, the PVL ignition is finally installed!! Set the timing at .070” btdc..Seems to have a lot more power and runs very smooth. Would highly recommend the switch from points and advanced timing. Also saves on kick start pawls and ankles. 8)

Does the Instructions for the PVL Ignition tell you what to set the timing at? I would think so. I know it's mentioned here at .070 at btdc.

Thanks
