Vintage Dirt Bike Q & A

It's been coming for a long time, but it does appear that this time Carlsbad is really going to close. http://www.coast-racing.com has some of the details, but mid-September it will probably all be over. If you have a vintage bike - Elsinore or not - drag yourself out on 8/21 for a final practice or race with California Vintage MX http://www.calvmx.com that runs historic events at the track. It might be a nostalgic run on the original circuit of GP fame, or the longer and faster "upper" track. They also plan to bring forward the Christmas GP which has a vintage class where you can rub shoulders with Brad Lackey. (Well until the gate drops anyway....)

Exit 5 South in Carlsbad at Palomar Airport Road and drive inland for a couple of miles until you see the track on your left-hand side.
