My 83 YZ 250K. This was an ok bike but Yamaha got stupid with thier weight savings plan, bike came with hollow bead rims that would very easily bend, along with aluminum spoke nipples which never seat like the steel ones do, this means bent rims even when you tighten the spokes after every ride, also the pistons were lightweight and would last about three weeks before the skirts started cracking, couldn't get wiseco's at the time cause the bike was brand new, traded it in on an 83 XR 500.

That's a real classic Dave, I've never heard of an RT1M before, a friend of mine used to have a bike very similar to yours, I think it was a 360, it had a headlight and he rode it on the street. |

thanks for the complement pursang.thats basically a 1970 RT1 MX 360.yamaha for some reason called it a RT1M in 1970.its like the standard RT1 Enduro except they came from from the factory with the GYT kit parts,21" front wheels,close ratio transmission and the lighting equipment removed from the factory. |
