Hello I am wondering if changing the cluth plates is a simple job I can do? If so does anyone have any advice from experience on the correct way I should go about it? thanks for responses.

It's a pretty easy procedure. Remove the clutch cover after draining the oil. Be careful to save the gasket as you're removing the cover, or have a new one ready. The clutch basket should have about 6 bolts that need to be removed, along with the clutch springs.

Once these are out the basket comes apart and you can replace the clutch discs and plates if they need it. The discs and plates alternate about seven times. As you are taking the clutch basket apart, carefully note the order in which each component was disassembled so you can reverse the order when you reassemble it.

Check the torque settings in your manual as you put it all back together. That's all there is to it.
