a Dunlop D606 is a Dot approved tire but not cheap. this link is for the rear. http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/2/ ... toComplete front tire. http://www.motorcycle-superstore.com/2/ ... toComplete i know of no other air cleaner boots so to keep it alive those ones are no other and if it were mine i would pay for the boots you have found. restoring and riding vintage bikes is not at all cheap. sorry to be the bearer of bad news. ![]() |

Thanks for the info. I'm sorry if I used the wrong word to describe what I need. The boot I need is the one in between the carb and the engine. The existing one is full of cracks. I don't know of a way to keep it "alive". |

all in all the price are not too bad.i dropped a lot more than 300 or so dollars bringing a bike back.i do the work myself and the figure is only for parts. i can post pics of some of the bikes i am talking about.none of them are beauty queens though but they are mechanically sound and a blast to ride. the bike you have is a great one and there is not too many IT175s around these days. |

Yes that looks like the one. Do you know if the reproduction one on eBay is a good one. I see the seller has good feedback so I guess I can assume they are, I just don't know anybody that has used one. |

Cool little IT. Depending on how bad the cracks are on your current manifold, I have used spray on Plasti Dip as a surface sealer on a couple if the cracks aren't all the way through. 3 or 4 coats and it is usually good to go. Listen to Dave, he knows his stuff. |

Seattle,i am not sure as i have yet to try it but it is a better option than taking a chance with the existing one you have or a used one. you can try what Scooter has said as it sure sounds like a viable option. Scooter,is gas resistant? i may have to try this myself.do you have a link to the product you mentioned so we can check it out? |

I sprayed some plastic dip on it last night because there is a ride on Sunday I want to do. It coated very well, you can't see the cracks at all. The ride on Sunday is 60 miles so, I'll post back with the results of if it makes the whole 60 or not. ![]() |

To answer your question Dave, it is gas resistant, at least from my experience. Seattledirt, you may have to do it every once in awhile till you can get a new manifold. BTW Dave, I am Chayzed Pilot from YE.com. Scott |

Scott that is great to know. ![]() i always had trouble with Deet.ever since he became a mod i knew he was going to be bad news and indeed it is! before he became a mod he always busted my chops over something like the camera i used or something else.i use what i can afford at the time and that is the bottom line. i just got sick of him and worse........Boaktiger listens to him for advice. i would seek Enduronut or Enduroboss on moderating myself. i still like those two very highly. sorry to air dirty laundry here but i do speak my mind on things..... ![]() i like this board here because it is so laid back.even though i could post almost anything there including computer stuff or street bike stuff but i cannot do that here.it is ok and all however. here it is all good.i just wish some more friends from Y.E can come here and post.this board reminds me of Y.E circa 2006 and it is a great board itself.i plan to at least revive the Yamaha end here if possible. ![]() ![]() |
