My Vintage 85 YZ 250 project. Have questions |
Just picked up an 85 YZ250 yesterday. Bike is rare survivor. Bike is unmolested and completely stock other than grips and rear tire. Bike is in excellent shape. Only problem is crank bearings are going bad. Anyone suggest a good shop to rebuild lower end? I was thinking of sending motor to Eric Gorr. I also ordered RaceTech Gold valves and progressive springs for forks. I will do forks myself. Don't know what to do about shock. Does shock need the Gold Valves? Is there a suspension guy you guys would recommend who can revalve rear shock and make it work without the expense of Gold Valves? Thanks guys!!
