Post subject:  74, 75 YZ250/360 & 76 YZ250/400 forks

After my first AHRMA Sportsman 500 race I'm needing a little tech advice regarding using different forks on my 1974 MX360. after a few carb mods and removal of the balancer it will keep up with anything in my class in the straight aways on the pipe, but it's just flat spooky in the corners. I'm in the process of fabing an aluminum swing arm and lengthing it 1.5" to keep the front end down (I had an 80' staight away wheeling going at one time which looked cool except not any good on a lap time) and picked up a set of Ohlins S36P's for the rear. So the backend is covered, now for the front. Since ALL of my knowledge is late 70's bikes (that's when I was riding bigger than a 100cc) I know close to nothing of what's good to put on that porker of a beast. I'm not bothered with handing them to Race Tech for Emulators and overhaul, but I'd rather give them the best set I can have on my bike instead of spending the money and having it work better? But not to it's full potential. I included some of the race picks and the infamous 80' wheelie. I'm currently looking at a set of 74/75 YZ360 forks but if a set of YZ400's is better and can get me past Mr. Tech Inspector Man let me know.
