Hello y'all! I'm from the Edmonton area in Alberta, Canada. I just purchased a very rough MX250 with the thought that I would do some light trail riding but I plugged into the vintage MX community and have revised my plans a "bit"! My understanding is that the major rule restriction for the 2 shock class is travel. I've disassembled it down to the frame and so far it will need: 1 fork tube and all seals, triple clamp bearings, front hub bearings, all cables, rear hub bearings, all brake internals including shoes, cam, springs, etc. a whole wack of miss matched nuts and bolts, chain, sprockets, rear shocks....... and don't get me started on a motor. Can anyone give me some advice on prepping this bike for racing. Can I steal parts from other models to legally upgrade the performance? Specifically I'm thinking of swing arm length and front forks but other stuff as well. I figure if it needs replacing I might as well upgrade now instead of later. Any and all advice is greatly appreciated. Oh and so far I'm not so into restoring it to show room stock. Peace, Bruce
