Suzuki did not make a '78.5 RM125, only the RM250C2. It's possible that someone has put a '78 engine in a '79 frame or mounted '79 plastics on your '78 frame.

Hello everyone, I have a RM 125 but I not sure what year it is. I checked the frame #'s with Vintage Suzuki and they say it's a 1978. Frame # is #125 790 254 and engine # is 794482 but the side panels and rear fender and seat cover look like they came off a 1979 according to there parts listing and pictures I have seen on the Vintage Suzuki web site. Did Suzuki Make a 1978.5 with the newer plastic? I would post a picture but a kid broke my camera. Any help would be greatly appreciated. |

Go 3 or 4 posts down, I thik it's "My 78.5 RM250 won't throttle down..." or something like that. There are pics of my '78.5 .Is the plastic like that? Mine is early production,April I think. But I have a late production 1979 RM125, Sept, Oct or November and it has all the plastic and graphics of a '80 model. So I guess it just all demends on how late in the year they were made. |
