I recently purchased a 1981 pe 250. I got it runnig great now all thats left is the lights. I don't care about the tail light just the headlight. Since somebody cut all the wiring for the lights off of the harness I put a toggle switch on the handle bars and wired it so both the high and low beams get power when the switch is on (yellow and white wires) and grounded the dark grayish colored one. My question is what color wire to tap into to get power. I looked at the wiring diagram but couldn't seem to find any wires on my bike that are the same colors as those on the diagram. Also is the bulb 6 or 12 volt, I didn't want to test it and burn it out. Thanks, Cole |
