I have the above bike. F model. I bought it non running, got it all fixed and it cranks and moves now. I put a brand new jet and float valve in carb. Just stock spec jets. But the problem is it wants to just flood fuel out of the overflow tube on the carb. I don't have the FSM so I don't know what to put it at. So I simply sat beside the bike and bent the tab on the float arm a little and put a fuel line on it to see if it overflowed. After about 5 tries I got it to what I thought was perfect. I even left the gas turned on overnight to see. Not a drip. I cranked it and rode for 5 minutes just to cycle trans fluid to drain and get trash out. No leak, fired up no problem. But this time I cranked it, still no leaks. But after I got a block or so down the road it started bogging down and killed itself, looked down and it's just pouring gas. I tapped on the bowl with a screwdriver, but no luck. The valve hasn't even been in fuel for over 2 months. No reason it should be bad. I'm running 93 octane mixed 32:1. Can someone tell me what the factory float level is or something useful to do. I'm getting very aggravated with taking the carb off constantly to figure it out. Also what does the FSM say to measure off of? Just the carb body I would think. Thanks for any help.

Same problem here mate...1979 PE250N. The bike just constantly floods out the plug. Mine doesn't leak when upright but lean the bike over just a few degrees and out the overflow it pours.

Infuriating!!!

I've gone in the 20 times at least, playing with the float tab...easy enough just to loosen and spin the carb but after 20 times...it stinks...especially the fuel dump everytime
