My understanding of a TS wiring diagram is that from the lighting coil comes 2 leads one yellow red, one yellow white. The YR runs the headlight, while the YW charges the battery and runs the tail light. For years I ran a headlight and tail light with the YW without blowing bulbs from over voltage. Updateing my 74 TS, I wanted to update lighting to LED's. Some trial and error showed that LED,s are smoked by AC current. From the YW is a 10A automotive fuse then lead splits one to a 4411 tractor lamp the other to a rectifier. From there it splits again one to the tail light the other to a capistor. The capistor acts like a battery smoothing things some what so the LED's don't flicker. Simply wire the hot wire to the + side of the capistor - side to ground. The rectifier came from ebay as did the capistor 40V 5000MFD as far as size.
