I need to replace my front rim on my bike that I am restoring and wanted to know what rims I can use with the drum hub? Can I use any 36 hole rim such as a newer one from a disc hub or do I need a certain type or year? Thanks for your help!

Perhaps you've checked this already, but your rim is used on the following Honda models if you're looking for a used or NOS rim (click on 'Select Model'):

I would stick with the stock Honda rim if possible. Believe it or not, the OEM rims on my MR and CR only fit in one direction (if I flip them around, all the spokes are about 1/16" too long), so the nipple hole angles and/or hub hole wear patterns can be critical. On the other hand, my CR's front wheel has an RM250 hub/spokes laced to a CR250M rim, so it is possible to get lucky with mixing and matching.

Thanks for everyone's reply. I thought it would be possible but wanted to make sure before I purchased new rims.
