Is it at all possible to make a 74 mt125 cdi? I have a flywheel, coil and a cdi from a 74 cr125 sitting in a box. What do you think? Is it possible? What else would need to be done?
Thanks,
Steve

I've never done that swap but I have done others.

Before you get started you can bench test the entire set up. I just jam a screwdriver into the flywheel and spin it with an electric drill. Don't run it w/o the spark plug threads touching the mounting bracket of the coil or you may mess up the coil's secondary winding insulation.

It's a good idea to use a timing light for the final installation. I just park my bikes in front of my car and use its 12V battery to power the timing light. A cheapie ~$42 inductive timing works fine for me.
