There's a missing rear brake stopper arm on the 1974 CR125M that I work right now. Can someone tell me the lenght of this arm between the center of the 2 holes?

(part #3 in yellow on the picture)

Thanks!

I know Im a goofball with doing crazy things to my bikes but I made an aluminum one that went straight down from the bottom shock bolt, simply because the Red-Line swingarm I ran didnt have a front brake arm mount.

I saw something similar on Marty Smiths bike at Mid Ohio in 75

I did nearly the same thing (very similar to your 2nd photo) and it seemed like the rear wheel hopped less under braking than with the stock setup. If I go with a custom arm I'll definitely be using the shorter brake stay.

Interesting! But to do that I will need to remove the already painted swingarm to weld an attachment for the arm and then paint it again.

Nice bike rayivers!

I just drilled a hole in the swingarm gusset, slightly below the bottom front of the shock mount. I shortened a spare brake stay, flattened & drilled one end, bent it to fit, and that was that; used it for years with no problems at all.

I'll see if I can do something similar on the stock swingarm.

Thanks Ray!
