Every bike I own,76 MR 250,74 TL 125,69 CT 70 and a 69 z50, has the original paint on them with some nos parts. None are perfect but nice. The 50 is very dear to my heart since it's my first bike, got it for Christmas of 69. Many times I see restored ones and like you would like it to be like the day I got it. I have replaced things like seat, fenders, bars but got them in the early 90's when NOS was still easy to get. But if I did a complete restro it would be like any other restored one. Mine with it's scars is part of me and brings back many happy memories. You can always restore it but it's only original once. Just my feelings, but I hope what ever you do, works out.

I remember those little tykes well !!! I think I rode one when I was 10 or 11 and that was what got the bug into me to ride when I was at a day camp during a summer in the early 70's. I still remember the day I asked my parents if I could get a motorcycle. We were on our way up to the William S. Hart Ranch in Saugus and I leaned over into the front seat and asked them" "Hey, I really would like to get a mtorcycle" (something to that phrase anyway). About a year (or sooner) later, I got my first motorcycle. It was a 1972 Honda SL70 that was bought from the daughter of the producer of the original Hawaii Five-O series (William Finnegan).

**June 18, 2013**Just put the front VMX fender on last night. Replaced all of the grommets with OEM ones that are still in stock. Did the rear fender about a week ago. There is something about new plastic on a bike....just like new rubber on the rims that puts a :D on ones face

I need to get my OEM front / rear fenders restored and will keep them in a safe place until I can get them done. The front has cracks in it. The rear just needs buffed out good

The first hole has been drilled and a new grommet put in place
