 Post subject: bike smoking

well guys i think something is wrong with my bike... when im in the corner and i pop the clutch in 1st gear the bike smokes really bad untill i let go of the throttle... but when i dont pop the clutch it doesnt smoke that bad.. i am running 40:1 ratio with yamalube and its mixed perfectly. i dont know wats wrong with it? is it the jetting or wat?

I usually use second gear coming out of corners, so you may be over revving it. Could also be a worn out top end...

well i do use 2nd gear alot too but wat im trying to say is like a start at a race..u know how u pop the clutch.. it smokes badly

could be jetting, or worn carb parts. what bike are you talking about?

i suppose your idle circuit could be rich, since you experience the smoking when you take off real quick... maybe adjust the air screw.

I agree. Right side crank seal. Replace both. You may have to split the cases to change the right side. :(
