Anybody have a trick for removing stencils from CR seats? Thanks!

Will acetone discolor or dry out the vinyl?

it is possible, but maybe you could test it on some old vinyl, or an unseen part of the seat. there is a spray called vinylex that is really good at making old black plastic and vinyl look brand new by restoring emolients. it comes in a tealish colored spray bottle. its great for restoring old stuff.

It's a brand new cover and I don't want to damage the vinyl. I just don't want the stencilled lettering. If I can't find a mild remover I guess I'll just live with it.

My guess is you would be better to spring for a new cover with letters and sell on the other... :(
