Hey guys! I just purchased a Honda 79 125 Elsanore bike and want to get started restoring it. I need help in finding suppliers for pretty much everything that I will need to get this puppy up and running. If you can, please post vendors that you have used and are satisfied. Thanks again for the help.

Invest some time browsing this and the forum at http://www.red-racer.com and you will find much of what you need. If not, then post a specific question.

I'll start you off with two places that are good for NOS parts that are supposedly discontinued from Honda: http://www.westernhillshonda.com and http://www.cmsnl.com.

http://www.jastco.com does the prettiest and most functional chain guide for CRs and I suspect it will fit yours as well as my '79 CR250R. The guide itself is protected all-round from the chain by replaceanble nylon block. To my mind it is much superior to both the OEM and Fox after-market designs.

I would very cautious using Red Racer. I have had some plastic on order since mid August and still have not recieved it. I have inquired about it 3 times, and was told the first two times it would ship "this week or next'. The last time I inquired was a week ago, and I have not heard back from them yet. I sent an email and it was returned as 'undeliverable'. I know a lot of people on this site have had good luck with them, but I have not. Personally, I won't use them again if I have any other options at all.

For plastics, I'd go with dcplastics. Scroll down the thread list on this forum to purchasing plastics and you can see a pic of a set of dcplastics that I put on my '76 Elsinore. I also got them delivered in less than a week.

I had waited for months to hear from redracer on the plastics. Fortunately, I had checked availability before going ahead and paying for any of them. However, I did order the graphics from them which appear in the pic I mentioned above. THose arrived in a matter of days and are of excellent quality.

CharlieT, I checked out your pic and your bike sure looks good. I need some feedback on where I can take the frame and motor to get it painted. Also, how about the shocks/forks. Where did you go for that?
