some advice I could give you is to start with the best possible Elsinore you can find and be a cautious shopper in the Elsinore parts marketplace

Welcome!

I would suggest that you post a WANTED ad in the Elsinore Swap Meet, http://www.elsinore-swap-meet.com, and specify you're looking for a bike in GB. There are a pretty sizable group of Brits that frequent the Swap meet.

Bit of advice.

Get yourself a parts book or microfiche off eBay for your bike model. Then visit CMSNL.com (based in Holland) for all your parts.

After that its a fairly easy.

I have the 1978-1980 parts catalog and a 1979 manual on CD-ROM...

I also have a dis-assembled 1979 CR250R Elsinore for sale, but I think the shipping to the UK would be prohibitive. On the other hand do you remember Radar shipping home the Jeep in M*A*S*H?
