I am 99% complete on my 1979 CR 125 resto - I ned to know if it is possible to have the tripple trees from a 1982 CR125 mounted on my '79 125 - would I need to replace the '82 stem with the '79 stem to fit the frame? any help would be appreciated - thx.

I think you will be able to use the 1982 triple clamps and stem, but you will need a spacer under the top clamp as the steerer will be a little long for the 1979 frame. You may be able to transplant the 1979 steerer to the newer clamps. A shop can press it out and in. This advice is based on exactly the same approach, but on the CR250R model....

Very nice machine! Are any of the Fox tank protector decals like the ones on this bike still available anywhere?

Scott Steger made these when he was behind Red Racer. He then started Vintage Factory and continues to make decals there, but I have not seen these in his inventory. He might be persuaded to make another set - I'll need them at some point. Also many of the graphics houses will do any custom layout providing you have a match that they can scan and digitize.

I received today my NOS PP Tony D front fender, sweet, I feel like I stole it 68.00 ebay, he had it listed as just a petty front fender with a poor picture, I think if it were listed in the description properly it would have went for much more and especially with a good picture.

Well, I took the bike out to play this past weekend at Runninbrand mx in Alabama, they only offered one class for the period, 0-500, pre 84, all skill levels, I signed in at the B level, I had not raced in three years and had taken the bike out and ridden it twice so I figued that would be correct, ended up 2nd overall, and the guy that won was a B level also and someone I have beaten before when I rode regularly, was really fun but man going to a race is a lot of trouble,
