Great read, thanks for sharing the info. Wow that brought back memories!!! I was at every St. Peters Trans Am in St. Louis there was and we got pretty close to those bikes and always wondered how much money they had put into them.

Thanks for the link, great reading! I wasn't aware of the factory teams riding modified production bikes after the first couple of national events and had not heard of the Honda bike problems Marty Smith had in Europe.
I can hardly to wait to read the summary of the 2nd half of the national season. A friend of mine in high school witnessed the mid-season GP victory by Smith in Ohio but I didn't get to see it!
