Just thought I would share a photo of my just completed 74 CR250M Elsinore. The frame was powdercoated, Motor and tranny gone completely through, New PVL, New vintage Elsinore exhaust, new bearing's, bushing's, controls, cables, Carb. and billet intake, pegs, re-worked front forks and Works Performance shocks, new sprockets/chain, tires, pegs, plastic,etc... Just wanted to say thanks to all those who helped me complete this project. This site has been a tremendous help!

Some one should start a thread for pics of restoration, Kinda give guys like me a boost of inspiration seeing someone elses finished.

I have been almost 2 yrs in the works on my restoration and everytime I get a new piece and get to go a little furthur it re-energizises me. It is very easy to get down and out when your are at the mercy of venders you have to deal with. I have parts that have been out for almost a year, waiting on the venders. Anyways, I am going to attach a pic of my build.

I've been through the samething.. What vendors have you had problems with?? Which ones were good? I've had great luck with Vintage Iron, and Badbrush.com, Western Hills Honda for parts on my 73-74 250. I believe you are the guy on the swap meet complaining about Vintage Elsinores, well I'm the guy responding to you. I had two terrible times with them and will never use them again. All the things mentioned, you send them a item to have work done on it and you never hear from them, they won't answer the phone, won't leave you a message.

Everytime I have used VIntage Elsinore I have had good dealings, guys lets not get down on these vendors, there are only a few that specialize in these markets, Most of them do it first because its a passion to them, and if there really lucky they just sometimes maybe make a living at it. Most of these guys run a one man bussiness and it is very easy to get overwhelmed. I cant think of anything else I would rather do than build vintage motorcyles!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hope you get all your stuff worked out with Donnie, he is a very honest person from the dealings that I have had with him.

Not getting down on a vendor just telling the truth!!! Don't buy the passion excuse, there is a way to conduct biz. that is right and twice they have made me wait 3 months for parts all the while telling me "two more weeks" and thats when they would answer the phone. I don't know Don personally all I know is he'll give you every excuse in the book as to why your parts can't be shipped. You can't treat your customers like that and then expect them not to speak out. Obviously by some of the post I'm not the only one. They don't sell anything we can't get elsewhere. I know when I am thinking about spending money with a vendor I like to get a feel for the way they perform..
