I sure it may be in my owners manuel for a 1974 CR125. I will check for you. It's pretty basic though.

I have it. It's 1 page in back of the 1974 CR125 original manuel. Would you like me to make a copy of it & mail it to you?

No problem - glad to help. I'm sure Honda service manuals are wrong sometimes, and my own CR125M (bought new in '74, and identical to the diagram in all respects) must be a fluke.

sounds like you have the wrong ignition in it. :(

Agreed - that's certainly a much more likely explanation than an incorrect factory diagram.

I've got three complete ignitions here (two '74's, and one '75) that are identical to the diagram I posted.

Ray

P.S. Below is a picture of a '74 CR125M stator assembly. Check out the black/red wire coming from the far end of the left coil, and the green and red/white wires coming from the right coil.

I have the same diagram as Ray. That's listed in the original manuel for the CR125's.

Here's another wiring diagram, definitely not for a 1974 Honda CR125:

I've got two MR175 ignitions here that match this diagram.

hmm strange, in the cehicle registration it says cr125, and the engine hasnt been taken apart.... i DO have mr175 engines here, so unless someone modified it without my knowledge, its wrong.

im going to put the other magneto in and try that, thanks for all your help guys!

P.S. does this subforum also include TLs? i got one but am not sure it goes here for discussion...

Is there a serial # on the engine cases? Left hand side above the ignition cover?
