I am restoring a 1980 CR250, Im looking at plastic options. Which is the best color match, VMX or DC. I see the DC plastic is cheaper, but is the VMX worth the extra money

I can't help you with the red color match thing, but if looks are important to you, I wouldn't recommend DC plastics. I got these for both my CR and RM, and ended up taking them off and going with OEM (RM) and VMX (CR).

The VMX plastic has a smooth, quality-looking glossy finish, like OEM. Every piece of DC plastic I got had a bumpy orange-peel texture to it; I thought it looked cheesy. If all you need is to keep mud out of your face, though, it'll work fine.

The VMX silver was a lot darker than Honda Custom Silver Metallic, and the DC stuff was more of a lemon yellow than the "canary" (I think Suzuki calls it 'Phlolina') yellow of the OEM RM plastic, so as far as color goes I'd hope for the best and expect, well, something else. :)
