Hello all. I bought a new head gasket for my 78 CR250. Do I just put it on as is as it is a copper gasket? Or are you supposed to put something on it when you install it?

Thanks

It says in there to torque the cylinder nuts to 28-35 lb ft but I cant see anywhere where it tells you what to torque the head nuts too? Can you please let me know as I have been wanting to change my head gasket and dont want to until I know the proper torque....

Thanks

Page 66 - Cylinder Head - 14.5 to 16.6 ft lbs. Snug them down hand-tight and then torque using a criss-cross pattern.

Uh Oh..... I already did it earlier this afternoon and torqued to 20 lbs ft... I took it for a ride and it seemed fine... what problems is this going to cause me over torquing them like this? And yes I did the criss cross pattern when tightening them....

Just ride it it will be fine.
You obviously haven't stripped the threads or distorted anything so you have no worries.
