Find an appliance repair shop and check out their supply of sewing machine drive belts and/or vacuum cleaner belts. I personally found the latter to thick / strong and they deformed the mounting tabs. The former work OK but have a shorter lifespan. BTW, you can use the same source for the rubber band that pinches the side panels to the air box.
