i have a 82 cr250 just got used fuel tank and outher plastic parts any one know a good spray that will hold up and the right shale of red or orange will work

no chance, forget it to paint the plastic parts.

If you can find it in your area, look for American Traditions / Valspar Fire Engine Red from Lowes Hardware. It is a spray paint specifically made for plastics. It is a very close, almost identical to the late '70's and early 80's CR Honda's Tahaitian Red. I have used it on my '79 CR250 and '78 XR75, and it works & looks great. I don't believe it will work on the plastic fuel tank. The fumes from the fuel will make the paint eventually bubble up and flake/peel off. I can send you some pics of my elsinore fenders and side number plates if you would care to see the results. Good Luck!
