still no luck with the ignition.

is there a CDI that will let me keep the road lights? it seems the CR125 CDI only has output for spark and will not charge the battery or run the headlight

If you want lights you must use the MT points ignition.

got the carb I bought off ebay in today, found out it was WAAAAAY wrong... damn twist grip is wrong too... the suzuki kick pedal isnt working out... time to start re-selling parts

Just a word of advice from someone who's been searching for various MT, MR, and CR parts for the last three years; stick with Honda MT125 parts for now. There are tons of them on eBay and all over the Web, with more arriving all the time. You'll save yourself so much grief.

+1 on Ping King's ignition troubleshooting procedures.

Ray

Thank's for this info mate.

hmmm, I still wonder if there's a way to swap just the one coil in the stator to a CDI coil (say similar coil's in old cdi stators)

but I suppose some more points troubleshooting cant hurt

oh and say hello to the MT's little brother, a 82 express sr I got for $125. needs a ring set and a hone, but has spark oil and fuel! expect massive customizations

mainly got it because it's cheap to ride. dnt need insurance or motorcycle endorsement, just a cheap 3 year moped sticker. pluss they can be modified easy for higher speed

Ypur bikes really old they probably are discontinued. Thats where aftermarket comes in go look on ebay they most likley will have a set of aftermarket points or one of the parts suppliers here may have it also.
