Hi,
A guy emailed my wanted ad with this bike. This is what he says about it:

It was a bike that I picked up about 5 years ago for 50.00, and had the
same thoughts as you have.
I was going to repair ,and restore , as it's a classic.
And fun 2 ride as I had one as a kid.
Instead , I never did a thing with it , and now it just takes up space
in my garage.
Mag cover is missing , was when I got it.
Was repainted some orange color , but tank , is in good shape , frame is
good , and motor is not stuck.
Fenders there , but could use new.

He doesnt know what model, I think its a 75 of 76 CR250 by looking at the pic.

What should I know about this bike? Is it rare? CDI or points? Are parts available? Should I buy it for $50?

Thanks.

That might be a great buy if you already had a bike just like it that needed a parts bike.

Find something in better shape for your project. Preferably something that is all together & runs.

Good luck

Looks like 75 or 76 CR250M1. If that tank is aluminum, I'll give you $50 for it and pay for shipping !! Is the right shock on upside down?? Could be CDI or points, depends. Later ones did have cdi. You can get parts all day long from vintage places and f-bay. New pistons, bearings, gaskets and other parts still available. Just send me the tank and all will be fine!!
