Vintage Dirt Bike Q & A

Hi, new member here. I just picked up a 1975 XR75 for restoration and was wondering what automotive base/clear color code is a close match for the tank.
Also a close match for the silver metallic fenders. I'm trying to avoid using Colorrite paint because it's kinda pricey. I already have some of the necessary materials for Matrix automotive finishes, which I have used before and been happy with.

I would like to second the gentleman's question and wonder if anyone has the near-match paint codes in ANY other paint brands: I.E. Dupont, PPG, etc) for Tahitian Red? Would be nice to have a single list maybe? Thx--DOUG

to get a CLOSE match you can take one of your parts that has good color on it to a auto piant store. most of them have a color reader, it gos with their computer system. it will read the color and come up with a formula. note i said close, some times its close sometimes its dead nuts on

Based on the "SEARCH" function, here is what I have come up with so far as options for TAHITIAN RED--not saying these are all accurate, but it is what has been posted on here so far as a correct, a close or a near match...
