I have dug an old bike out of my dads shed and turns out its an old MR50 74 model. Looks like will need some care starting with new card and muffler for a start. Anyone got any ideas the best place to look and where I should start on it?

you would be better off finding a after market Carb like a Mikuni or Deltoro so you can get parts and rebuild kits.
Honda does not make rebuild kits for the Mr50's and parts are getting harder to find, I am building one for my Grandchild and will use a aftermarket carb and mainfold Let me know if I can be of any help. I am working on wraping the frame around the motor now.

Never meant to high jack this thread but still working on the MR 50 and figure one MR50 thread is better than a bunch at least we all have one place to go to help each other. Have got the MR running still have a ways to go paint the tank and re-build the wheels but here she is as she sits now, I am working on the new Intake to mount a differnet carb looking a 18mm Mikuni as they are easier to find parts for. Got the new bars and cables on. Here is soem eye candy
