Well i looked at the specs on your web site and it said it had a Front: 3.00 x 21 but on my 1979 cr125 elsinore it has a 3.00 x 23... and im 90% sure my tire is original... so where can i get a front tire for it becuase my front tire is done.. :wink:

The stock front rim was 23". I'm not sure what manufacturer can still provide that size tire.

do u think i can get a 21" rim off of a 1979 cr250 or a 1980 cr125 and get it to work?

Sorry Gomer. I meant that the 21" tire lowers the front of the bike 1" and steepens the head angle. This will cause the front end to shake more.

how much would it shake? like really bad or not that bad..? i dont understand though cuase the 250 has pretty much the same setup as mine. and it doesnt shake that bad

the first problem with the 79 CR125 is the front forks have weak springs that cause it to "stinkbug" which aggravates the nervous front end,Get the the front end stiifer springs before changing to the 21" front wheel.Some people will say you need shorter rear shocks but the funny thing is the never mention rear shock spring preload effect on the rake of the front end.If you get the suspension set to work with the 21 inch wheel itll work better than others here will admit.i have owned and racrd one for several years and i really like the bike-it has faults but its isnt as bad a bike as all the 78-80 CR250 lovers claim[/b]

dennis kirk carries a chen shin tire in this size-they have tubes also.it is a cheap tire that only redeeming qualities are it is black and round and better than nothin
