Does anyone have any suggestions on replacement shocks? My originials are shot and not rebuildable. I've bought some used orginials off of Ebay with very poor results. I would like to stay away from Work Performance because they are too pricey for me.

I have bad news. Of the available (new) after-market replacements Works Performance were one of the more affordable. Call Ohlins and ask for a price for a laugh. I suggest you try and find a set of second-hand Fox Shox for between $150-200. They are cheap and easy to re-build yourself, and you can play around with the set-up for "free" without incurring rebuild charges and new parts. You need ones that are 17.5" in length. Try the swap meets here, Red Racer and Vintage Factory, and eBay.

If you are not going to race your CR you might want to try Progressive shocks ($249 at Vintage Iron). Fox Shox and Works Perf are the least expensive choices for competition. :(
