Ok I disconnected the oil feed line, plugged the oil inlet, mixed some gas up and fired her up. WOW this is a different bike than what I have been riding. The oil pump must have been sending too much oil to the mix and choking the engine. Now the bike pulls all through the rev range.

So what can I do about the oil pump? Will it eventually burn out if there is no oil in the oil tank? As I restore the bike to original I may want to fix and reinstall the pump. Any ideas?
Thanks
Newfie
