Hi everyone,
My 74 MT250 is running great now. The oil pump was putting too much oil into the mixture. Once I disconnected it and mixed the fuel 24:1 the bike has worked great. Is 24:1 a good mixture for this bike? Thoughts?

Also now that the oil pump is disconnected will it burn out?
Thanks
Newfie

P.S. I will post some updated pics soon.

Back when gas was leaded Honda recommended about 20:1 ratio. Now that gas is unleaded and improved most people are running between 32:1 and 40:1. I run 40:1 in my Elsinores.

Thanks. I will try another tank at 40:1.
Does anyone know if the oil pump will burn out now that there is no oil in the oil tank?
Thanks,
Newfie
