does anyone have a good cylinder they would part with? i know i can send this one out to be replated, but thought i might find a decent one cheaper. is there any way to bore these and use another piston-ring setup?

You can have a sleeve (at LA Sleeve among others) installed so it can be bored. But because of the exhaust valve, I'd have it plated. I've had excellent service from US Chrome of Wisconsin 866-922-5066
