MR 250 is running pretty good. BUT, I have erratic idle and it is blowing way way too much smoke. So, I figure I have to replace the crankshaft oil seals. Looks like diagram shows I have to remove the clutch side bearing to get to the oil seal. Anyone have any tips on this procedure if I try to not split the case?? I'm afraid bearing may be pressed in and hard to remove without splitting the case. Thanks, Mitch

You need to split the cases on the M type Elsinore motors to replace the clutch side main seal. With the right flywheel puller and air tools it is not that hard if you take your time and not break anything.
