I have a 79 cr125 that I need to know how to remove the mounts in the eyelets of my shocks (the ends of the shock where the mounts bolts to the frame and swingarm) so I can use them in a different pair of shocks. any ideas welcome.. note:: I do not want to damage the rubber or the metal bushing if I can help it..........

I've had pretty good luck using a good bench vise and a couple sockets.
Get one socket that fits the outside diameter of the shock end. Get another that fits the bushing. This is much easier with an extra hand or two. Just line it all up in the vise and crank it closed. The bushing will be pushed right into the bigger socket.
Works pretty well for small jobs like this, since most people don't have a hydraulic press in the garage.
