Hello you may have to buy the items seperate. I looked at the gas tank on ebay that the bid is up to $229.00 that one looks like its in really good shape. there is another 1974 mt250 gas tank in ebay stores under smiths motorcycle emporium for $74.99 buy it now it looks to be in very usable condition. but it also lacks the gas cap I don't know if it lacks a pet cock it doesn't show the underside of tank and its not in the description. I did find a nice gas cap in ebay stores also by smiths motorcycle emporium for $9.99 buy it now. gas cap also includes vent hose. you could call smiths at 570-596-2265 and ask if gas tank includes the pet cock. good luck..

Well I'm don't exactly have over $100 u.s to spend on a gas tank right now, so I'm looking for something a bit cheaper. And thought to give it a shot if anyone had any on here.

I don't know what has happened to MT tanks but 3 years ago they were practically giving them away. I think they are probably popular with other models as they look like a CR tank and look better then the stock XL tanks.

But if I was you I either be patient or get a plastic tank for now. Some of my favorites are the Vesco Desert tank or a pre 1981 Suzuki RM. I've got a couple of plastic tanks off eBay for ~$10 and honestly, except for being butt ugly I like them better then steel.

I know from experience shipping to Canada will add ~$25 to the cost of an MT tank. You are right in that is a lot of money to pay for a ~$200 bike.

Rick
