I keep seeing the word Mugen used when I look for information on old Elsinores, what is Mugen?

There is a good article in Racer X magazine about Mugen.Seems this company was started by Soihiro Honda's son.They did not make many bikes but they made alot of parts.I think the article said they currently work on the Honda F1 engines.

Yes
mainly engine performance parts plus aluminium swingarms,
you need to checkout Jonny O'mara's Mugen Honda 125 from 1980
and see how far ahead of its time it was.

http://www.mugen-power.com/top.html Family connections with Honda. Back in the day made performance parts for Honda motocross bikes, and raced their own works bikes. Sadly no more.
