Vintage Dirt Bike Q & A

Well to start out with I have been aquiring parts for the past two years to restore my 76 MR250 Elsinore. I am finally getting down last few items and the hardest to find is replacement aftermarket rear shocks. Does anybody know of a place to find these? I am trying to keep the stock look as much as possible and hve been to a few place like vmxracing.com and mrcycles.com with no such luck. Trying to get these ordered as soon as possible. I just got the frame sandblasted and am getting ready to powder coat it over the wekend.

Try Progressive Suspension. They look close to stock and reviews are very good (very good, according to two friends who have them on their bikes--much better than stock). They'll run you about $200 to $280, with springs.

I got mine from Dennis Kirk about 2 months ago Progressive Suspension DK part #58-449 (shocks) about $175 a pair, and DK part# 58-450 thru 58-455 for the Springs depending on rating. I went with 58-453 195 lbs rating for $75 pair these are 2 peice springs love them hope this helps.
