Vintage Dirt Bike Q & A

This is one of the swingarms on my CR450R's. Pictured is the standard and the unknown. Note bracing around rear mounting plates. This is original far as I can tell. Even the welding is of same quality as the rest of the arm. Not an add on or mod done later. Thoughts guys! See one like it before?

Honda had problems with this type of swingarm. They did a modification on it on both sides. I have one like this. I think that your swingarm is repaired becaquse it is on one side.

The swingarm is same on both sides. Looking at it theirs no signs of any repair work. Nothing rewelded. Looks to me its as if its alway had the extra supports from day it was made, not added after.
