Last two things I know I need are a carb and pipe its for my mt250 with the cr top end. I wanted a 36mm mikuni dont you need a different manifold for that? I was also going with a circle f pipe unless everyone thinks dg is better. Where is the best place to get the carb?

I talked to a guy at elsinore.com he has pre jetted carbs and he made his pipe sound pretty good although he said he dosnt know what it will do on my bike as it ihas an mt bottom end. I am going to get the carb and pipe from them I just have to wait a month for the pipes to come in as he just sold his last one. I have the best of luck with this bike I just found out my shift drum shaft was bent and it wore the fork and the gear its in contact with. So I searched ebay found a nice tranny for 76 bucks 96 after shipping so I bought it. I searched ebay again today and not being as tired as I was when I bought the tranny I typed in mt 250 I didnt have the space before and there is a 24 dollar tranny with just two days left owell. Anyone dealt with elsinores.com good bad?

I bought lots of parts from Donnie @ Elsinores.com, including a pipe and pre jetted carb. I always received my orders fast and found Donnie to be very helpful with info.

I thought Vintage Elsinores had closed. I don't believe the phone has a working number.

Hey guys,
I'm new to this forum, have been a member on several others. Woosh, when you ordered your " pre-jetted " carb did they jet for your bike, area, altitude, or did they send you one straight from Sudco? The reason I ask is all carbs technically are pre jetted from the factory, some will say bolt on, some will jet for your situation, and some will just send you one to jet yourself. I've ordered from Elsinores.com before and would like to get a carb from them, but being " tuning challenged " I want one that is truely bolt on and go. A man has to know his limitations and I know mine. This Keihin on my cr has to go. Could you let me know when you get it if it is standard tuning or tweeked for your bike ? And one more thing, did he say that you had to buy the manifold to use a Mikuni or could you use your stock one ( I hear it both ways ).
Thanks,

I am not sure exatly how they are jetted. The guy said it was jetted for the cr250m thats about it I will probably need to change it a bit as I am using it on an mt250. I just needed somthing in the ball park as I am not to good at tuning four strokes never done a two stroke though. I am not positive that you need the manifold but read you did somewhere so I ordered it anyway I have a cr intake but didnt want to tear it. He is all out of carbs at the moment but he said 3 weeks and he would have more.

They sell currently available carburetors so IMO they are pretty generic. That is, they can match the inlet diameter of the carburetor but it won't be an exact replacement for what ever you own.

I would trust the jetting they use as the best first guess you can get. If I have it right, they sell the same carburetor for 2 strokes and 4 strokes by just changing the jetting for the application. Going from something like 39 to 55 jet may not sound like much but I believe the flow is based on the square. That is, 39^2/55^2 => 50%.
