Thanks a bunch Red Devil. Just ordered two from Yamaha.

I'm sure these bearings don't have Yamaha stamped on them
so my Honda won't mind. Ride Red.

Thanks again.

hey dogger, glad to hear that you got your bearing, you gotta love when something works out like that!!.

I do agree about the seals and they will be getting installed when they get in along with the correct o-ring behind that collar on the crank. hey what do you think about when the seal and collar are out, just turn the bike on it's side, and should be able to wash out/drain any oil in the crankcase out the bearing

I was talking with my old man and he seems to think the play in the clutch is from lemme explain. part 11 on the clutch IPL (parts diagram) there is the splined part that the outter basket goes onto. he seems to think the play is between that splined part on part 11 and the splined cut out on the outter clutch basket. we also both found it weird how the washer part 14 just kind of went in there over the splined part of the main shaft part 1 in the transmission IPL, and then there is no splines and just kinda spins around and hangs out. i dunno maybe i'll take a super close look at the clutch when i get everythign all apart again just so i can relay exactly whats up.

i don't doubt the bike will be fun and will be a little handful untill i get used to it. i've felt that powerband kick in the couple times i did get to ride it i can just imagine what it'll be like when everything is humming together!

You might have more luck inverting the bike to get most of the oil to drain out and then use an absorbant pad
of some kind to mop up what's left in the crank well.

Once you get the clutch apart, I think you should have a pretty good idea what is wrong. Let me know what you
find.

tampon down the sparkplug hole? hah jk. i know it doesn't work like that.

yeah the clutch. it seems like there is very minor play between the gear/splined piece at the back and the outter clutch basket, and another reason there is some play is that it seems like the splined washer only buts up right against that gearwith the short bplined part that the outer basket goes against. and so the outer basket has a bit of play there. By the way it all seems, it just seems like that is the way it is. i can't see any extremely worn parts or anyhting like that. I've ordered a couple needle bearings for the clutch anyways.

Do you or anyone know of a good replacement for the washer that you bend over for the nut in the clutch???
