According to Honda ads of the time, the later (77?) MR175 had a closer ratio gearbox. Can anyone tell me if that is true, & if so, what the ratios were please? And what the later engine # ID is?

Here are the ratios of the '75/'76 and the '77 MR175 gearboxes, along with the relative (upshift) relationships between the ratios in parenthesis:

MR175 ('75-'76): 3.0 (60%) 1.875 (44%) 1.3 (36%) .958 (29%) .741
MR175 ('77): __ 2.36 (46%) 1.611 (35%) 1.2 (30%) .916 (24%) .741

Better late than never, I guess... :)
